Android Water Eject: Remove Water from Samsung & Android Speakers
Push water out of any Android phone speaker in Chrome. Works on Samsung Galaxy, Pixel, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo and more.
Watch: Water Eject in 20 Seconds
See how the 165 Hz tone pushes water out. Play it with your speaker facing down.
How to use it
Three quick steps.
Open in Chrome
Turn the volume all the way up and remove the case if it covers the speaker.
Speaker facing down
Hold the phone with the bottom speaker grille pointing at the floor.
Run 2 to 3 cycles
Vibrate + Tone mode shakes the phone while it plays. Test with music between cycles.
Why Android needs a water eject
Most Android phones are water resistant, but the speaker grille still traps droplets. A trapped drop sits on the speaker and makes everything sound muffled, quiet or crackly. A low 165 Hz tone moves the speaker back and forth and pushes the water out through the mesh.
Vibrate + Tone: the Android advantage
On Android, Chrome can also use the phone’s vibration motor. Vibrate + Tone mode combines low pulses with short vibrations to shake out the last drops. If you want only sound, switch to Water Eject mode.
Samsung “moisture detected” warning
If your Galaxy shows a moisture warning, do not charge it by cable until the port is dry. Wireless charging is usually still allowed. Shake the phone gently with the port facing down and leave it in a dry place for a few hours. Read more in our Samsung speaker water guide.

Questions people ask
Is it safe for my Android speaker?
Yes. The tone is within the normal speaker range. Stop if you hear constant harsh rattling.
Why doesn’t my phone vibrate?
Some phones block vibration in the browser or in battery saver mode. The tone still works without it.
How many times should I run it?
Usually 2 to 3 cycles. If the sound is still muffled after drying for a few hours, try the Dust Cleaner.
Does it work on Samsung tablets?
Yes, on any Android phone or tablet with speakers.
Does Samsung have a built-in water eject?
Most Samsung phones do not. Some Xiaomi phones have a built-in speaker cleaner. This page works on all of them.
Why does vibration help remove water?
Vibration shakes the phone body, which helps loosen drops that sit on the speaker grille.
Should I use rice to dry my Android phone?
No. Rice is slow and can leave dust in the ports. Air drying with the port facing down works better.
