What is a good result?
| Device | Typical lowest clear bass |
|---|---|
| Phone speaker | 150 to 250 Hz |
| Laptop speaker | 100 to 200 Hz |
| Headphones | 20 to 50 Hz |
| Bookshelf speakers | 45 to 70 Hz |
| Subwoofer | 20 to 40 Hz |
Rattling or buzzing?
If you hear rattling at one frequency, something is loose: a screw, a grille or an object near the speaker. If it buzzes at every frequency, the speaker may be damaged.
