Rattling or buzzing?

If you hear rattling at one frequency, something is loose: a screw, a grille or an object near the speaker. If it buzzes at every frequency, the speaker may be damaged.

Why can my phone not play deep bass?

Small speakers cannot move enough air for very low notes. Your brain often fills them in from the harmonics.

Is it safe for my subwoofer?

Yes at normal volume. Avoid maximum volume at the lowest frequencies.
