Start at a low volume, especially above 10 kHz and with headphones. High tones can be uncomfortable even when they seem quiet.
Questions people ask
What is the best frequency to clean a speaker?
Around 165 Hz for water. For dust, a sweep works better than one fixed tone; use our Dust Cleaner.
Why can I not hear very high tones?
Phone speakers and adult hearing both drop off at high frequencies. Many adults cannot hear above 14 to 16 kHz.
Can I use it to tune a guitar?
Yes. Play 440 Hz for A4, or type the exact frequency of the note you need.
